I actually like all the fragments in the early game though - they are a good source of mining basic mats, since if you already have the blueprint for something, the fragments are harvested as 2 Ti instead. Did the previous people just drop them in the ocean when the battery ran out?įor sure, the devs definitely wanted to make certain that if a player didn't have a Seaglide to use (and a few other things) it was because they didn't build, not because they couldn't build it. There's at least a half-dozen within a 50m bubble around my base. Somewhat related, I'm finding a hilarious number of seaglide fragments around my first base. I know the cabin by itself is supposed to be the equivalent, but I'd be happy with it taking longer to put it together if they brought back the seamoth to cruise around in for a bit. There's a rather large gulf between the seaglide and the seatruck. I will say that I really miss the seamoth.

It was basically B-line to a sensor room, so I can set it up to find me the stuff I'm looking for. I have a very good idea of what materials to horde, as well as what things to focus on building first, making it easier to then collect more materials. Considering how little has changed in terms of materials and equipment, the first several hours have definitely been a lot easier than the first few hours of the first game. Alright, I'm so far having a pretty good time getting my first base set up.
